Assessment

Some women or couples are curious about their fertility many years before they wish to conceive, while other couples attend for assessment if they’ve been having challenges with conceiving.

For those not currently trying to conceive we take a detailed history and begin with routine
blood tests or ultrasound scan.

We can discuss actions you can take to maximise your health and future fertility. We can facilitate referral to fertility specialists.

Management

For those couples experiencing fertility challenges we recommended both male and female
patients attend together for an initial appointment to discuss.

Women aged <35 should seek advice if unable to conceive naturally within 12 months.

Women aged >35 should attend for review if unable to conceive within 6 months.
